Thistleyhaugh, now an organic farm, dates back to 1780 and is set in 720 acres of farmland. To this day the property retains much of its Historic Georgian features and, combined with a range of thoughtful home comforts and additional modern amenities, make Thistleyhaugh what it is today, a remarkable place to enjoy your weekend break or longer, more leisurely holiday.

Thistleyhaugh offer a choice of five, luxurious en-suite guest rooms. All rooms have been exquisitely decorated and furnished as one would expect and their passion for art and antiques is apparent throughout the entire property.

For dining, guests have exclusive use of the dining room where all of their guests sit together. On many occasions this has resulted in plenty of laughter and lively conversation. The Lounge is the perfect place to relax. Enjoy the open fires and comfortable furnishings, looking out onto the beautiful, mature garden.

A hearty Northumbrian breakfast is included in the guest tariff, and a delightful four course evening meal is available as an optional extra. Both are home-made, using only locally sourced produce.

Being a licensed premises, Thistleyhaugh stock a wonderful selection of wines, ranging from £3.50 per glass or £10 for the bottle.

Guest tariff starts £45 per person for bed and breakfast in a double or twin room. Single occupancy twin/double is £85 depending on time of year. Evening meals can be ordered for £25 per person.

Thistleyhaugh regretfully inform all guests that no pets are permitted. There is a well-run boarding kennel just five minutes from the bed and breakfast though.
