The Hadrian Hotel in Hexham is beautifully situated in close proximity to the famous wall of Emperor Hadrian, which divided the Roman Empire from the powerful Scots tribes. Hexham is well known for its stunning abbey dating from the 11th century.
This unique and very attractive Northumbrian market town has played a prominent role in the history of the county, from its humble beginnings as an Anglo Saxon settlement. It has seen may a battle led by the famous Scots warrior William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, and even saw the battle of Hexham during the Wars of the Roses.
There are only six beautifully appointed and traditionally styled luxury guest rooms in The Hadrian Hotel, which means that guests get the quality and service you would expect from a London boutique hotel. Most of these generous rooms have en-suite facilities, and you may choose from double or twin rooms for your stay.
The hotel has excellent guest facilities, including a public bar, guest's lounge, and a restaurant, plus a whole host of relaxing diversions such as a pool table, darts board, dominoes, games machines, and a TV.
The hotel has open fires to relax in front of, reminisce over the day's events, or plan the next.
The restaurant has a delightful menu of dishes to make the mouth water, and the ambience is convivial with great service. There is an excellent wine list with wines to compliment every dish.
Enjoy the rolling Northumbrian countryside, historic castles, stately homes, and Roman ruins, from the pleasant and comfortable home from home surroundings of The Hadrian Hotel. Kielder Water and the Northumberland National park is situated close by, and offers the fabulous opportunity to cycle, watch wildlife, walk and even observe the planets and stars at the new observatory. The bright lights of the city are also within easy reach, with both Newcastle and Edinburgh offering shopping, and cultural attractions.
